Inspiration:
Our Inspiration came from Carousell, an app which allows user to buy goods from other users.
What it does
We implemented this idea into our app KONNECT with tweaks in the aim, which now allow users in need of help to request for goods and services provided by other users hoping to help those in need of the pandemic. Our app serves as a bridge mapping volunteers to people who are in need of help.
How we built it
We built it as a web app using mainly python, html and css
Challenges we ran into
Saving datas into databases and lack of coding knowledge
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to build a web app from scratch and see it running perfectly fine.
What we learned
We learned how to be independent and to search for information and solutions regarding our own queries.
What's next for KONNECT
KONNECT can be further used in the future after the pandemic as there are elderly who are immobile and require assistance to buy food and clean their house. Also there are low-income families who may need financial aid. KONNECT would then be able to act as the bridge connecting people in need with people who are willing to help.
