Inspiration

Kompear It Kards was heavily inspired by an abandoned To-Do list tool called Master Plan. Ive attempted to rewrite this app before, but it was a flat port. This time I decided to do something different and use the spacial organization from Master Plan, but include an added twist of weighted progress averages based off of the size of kards.

How I built it

I came into hen hacks wanting to experiment with an OpenGL engine I've been working on for a bit. I used this as my rendering backend. However, I decided to do all of the logic with a completely different outlook than I usually use to allow me to compare scalability of my engines plausible approaches.

Challenges I ran into

This was a project that seemed super out of scope, so doing it was a big risk. But the hardest part ended up being converting my old lists from the MasterPlan format to a format easier to transport and read with Kompear-It.

What I learned

If you think of a good project fast, and work hard you can get something beyond what you expect is possible!

What's next for KOM=PEAR IS

I will probably KOMPEAR MY KARDS in my many future projects to come :)
