Koin is a quick way to check out prices in the current crypto coins.

Inspiration

We looked through a list of APIs and found an API related to cryptocurrency. Because cryptocurrency is an emerging technology, we were interested in exploring it.

What it does

Our web platform allows users to view a variety of cryptocurrencies. Users can view different cryptocurrencies and select favorite cryptocurrencies that they want to keep track of.

How we built it

First our designers made a mockup of the website in Figma. Then we created a web application using the JavaScript library React as well as HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

In the beginning we ran through two designs to try and figure out the most optimal design for our website. We had some trouble in figuring out how to mark various components of the website work such as constantly-updating prices and a functioning graph.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud to be able to make a favoriting feature.

What we learned

This project allowed us to hone and exhibit various skills that each of us have been practicing.

What's next for Koin

We would like to be able to add more features and improve the functionality of Koin so that provides a more optimal user experience.
