Inspiration

The inspiration for Kobo came from our own experience. All of us have experienced some down times in one way or another. We felt it would be lovely to receive and give out some more love in our everyday life to the people we care about.

What it does

In todays world, being alone can be terrifying. That is where Kobo comes to help. Kobo is a discord bot with multiple purposes. Kobo can send you encouraging and sweet messages during the day to uplift your mood. Also through Kobo you can send anonymous messages to your friends to say something nice that you are maybe afraid to say straight to that person. Thirdly Kobo will keep track of your most closest friends (who you have contacted the most) and will remind you from time to time to send your friend a message to celebrate your friendship. And lastly if you are feeling down and feel like you want to contact someone just write to Kobo and this will contact your friends (who you have marked as close) and tell them you need help. All together, Kobo is here to bring more sunshine and sweetness in your life.

How we built it

Kobo is built in our hearts and minds at the moment :) Meaning that during the hackathon we did not manage to build a product, but worked on our idea and planning how kobo should work.

Challenges we ran into

  • Deciding what to do. At the first day we could not find any ideas, but brainstorming the next day we had so many good ideas so it was hard to decide between them.
  • Moving on from the idea phase to actually doing the idea. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of That we had many ideas that we want to bring to life after codeX.

What we learned

We learned a lot about teamwork, about discord bots and about hackathons in general.

What's next for Kobo

The idea really spoke to our team so although we could not make a product during this hackathon then Kobo will definitely come to life soon!
