Inspiration
We pass by so many people everyday, yet never get to know any of them. Wouldn't it be nice to, though? Maybe you click with some of these people. ko4n facilitates this on the basis of shared interests, which you express by sharing the media and art that you like, pinned to location.
What it does
ko4n introduces a novel concept of 'content pots' associated with real-world locations. Users must be physically present at a location to contribute to its pot. This feature fosters a unique blend of digital and physical interaction, encouraging users to share and discover media and art tied to specific places, thus connecting with others who share their interests.
How we built it
Our journey in building ko4n involved leveraging Expo and React Native for the front-end, paired with a serverless architecture powered by Cloudflare on the back-end. This combination allowed us to create a responsive, efficient, and scalable application.
Challenges we ran into
Embarking on this project, our team faced a steep learning curve with React and React Native. Despite our initial unfamiliarity, we embraced the challenge, turning it into a valuable learning experience.

We're thrilled to announce that ko4n is not just a concept but a functioning reality. Despite the initial jankiness in the UI, the core functionality of connecting people through location-based content sharing is up and running, exceeding our initial expectations.
