KnowU

KnowU is a personality test app that uses your responses to 32 questions to establish your personality type. It gives people the ability to use self-awareness whenever and wherever they need it. It provides you with a clear picture of yourself and assists you in selecting the best job for you. You can learn about your limitations and strengths that you may not be aware of. You can post your personality type on our app and connect with others who are a good match for you. The ability to interact with and chat with compatible individuals via our app will be added to the project's future scope.

Sometimes we think we know ourselves, which is fine, but it's not always clear like :

Which personality types are compatible with us? and much much more. This is why the software is called KnowU. All you have to do is learn about yourself, progress, and have fun :)

Inspiration

We were enthralled with the Open Jung Personality Trait Test and knew we had to create an app for Flutter to help us on our road to self-improvement. Furthermore, we were concerned about mental wellness. Because you don't know yourself, your likings and dislikes might be dangerous at times, which is bad for your mental health. We want to create something where people can not only learn a lot about themselves but also connect with people who share their personality type, making their environment more pleasant.

How it is helpful?

Personality development is also important for enhancing communication abilities. Individuals should learn how to convey their thoughts and feelings in the most effective way possible. Knowing your personality can help you understand yourself and the people around you better. It can help you recognize your strengths and limitations, understand your feelings and actions, and regulate your behavior in a variety of scenarios. You'll be able to determine where you belong and what you need to do in order to succeed.

What it does

It asks you a series of questions about how you think about a given topic and divides you into 16 personality types so that you can learn more about yourself and develop in areas like self-growth, personal and professional relationships, and even finding your actual passion!

How we built it

We built it using the Flutter framework since it only took 36 hours to create an industry-level app for both android and IOS users simultaneously over a single code base!

Challenges we ran into

We ran into several challenges such as bugs and low-quality content to implement in our app, our algorithm was not up to the mark so we have to make it efficient and accurate enough which took us a lot of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build an industry-level app within 36 hours to help humanity know themselves and others better is all we can hope for and we are proud of it.

What we learned

In our search for content for our app, we researched all of the personality types in order to fully comprehend them, and we learned a lot in the process. We learned a lot about psychology and thinking as a result of this experience. Furthermore, we learned how to operate in a team under duress while still producing our finest work. Through online mode, we have learned to operate in a team collaboratively and to handle things well.

What's next for KnowU

This is only the beginning for KnowU; we have a lot of work ahead of us to get our app up to industry standards and compete with the top apps available. However, our next step would be to include a feature that allows you to search for people based on their personality type, connect with them, and communicate with them in our app. This not only allows you to connect with more people, but it also allows you to form a circle around yourself with more people who share your personality preferences.
