Inspiration

This app was inspired by the theme of authenticity, and we thought of skincare because when it comes to skincare, a consumer would want the most authentic, transparent, honest information, to make their skin health and overall health as optimal as possible.

What it does

This app provides users with transparent & dependable information about skincare, products, and lifestyle tips to make informed purchasing and personal decisions. It also helps users to make decisions that lead to healthy choices. It also encourages the empowerment of the user to feel confident in the skin they're in through motivational quotes and materials.

How I built it

We built a prototype and design mock-up of the app through Figma and Photoshop.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into challenges, including spending too much time brainstorming specifics that would not be included in the final prototype and taking a long time to come up with a complete prototype product.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating a design that is aesthetically pleasing and serves a purpose to help others be in better health and feel good about themselves.

What I learned

We learned how to work together as a team, and how to turn a brainstorm into a physical idea.

What's next for Know Your Skin

To expand to other operating systems aside from IOS, to other countries, and to invest more research into the topic.
