About the Project Knockspace is a meeting management platform designed for modern, distributed, and project-based teams. It helps teams handle scheduling, meeting context, tasks, and follow-ups from a single workspace.
The idea came from working with teams that struggled to manage meetings across time zones, tools, and responsibilities. Most tools treat meetings as isolated events — we wanted Knockspace to make meetings more actionable and integrated into daily work.
What We Built Onboarding Flow: Includes team creation, calendar sync, profile setup, and workspace landing.
Dashboard: Shows current projects, upcoming meetings, task lists, and lets users switch teams.
Calendar: Team-aware view with smart time slots, availability filters, and meeting pills that display tasks and deadlines.
Projects: Each project contains its own files, upcoming and past meetings, and access to meeting summaries, tasks, and transcripts.
Meetings: Every meeting page includes AI-generated summaries, transcript blocks, related tasks, and linked files.
Tasks: Personal and team task views with inline status updates, assignment, and deadline tracking.
Teams: Support for multiple team workspaces with color-coded views and team-based filters.
What We Learned Modular screen design (onboarding, dashboard, calendar, etc.) helps maintain product clarity.
UI decisions like left-aligned layouts, spacing, and color use had a major impact on usability.
Availability logic must consider calendars, time zones, work hours, and exclusions.
It’s useful to let summaries and tasks live inside meeting views to reduce context switching.
Challenges Designing the calendar with both individual and team views that remain readable and functional.
Making sure onboarding flows feed into the dashboard without disconnects.
Avoiding clutter while still offering essential scheduling and collaboration features.
Next Steps Improve the calendar layout further (e.g. pill stacking, availability clarity, slot-based meeting creation).
Strengthen integration points (external calendars, task tools).
Add real-time collaboration features and deeper AI summaries across meetings.
