Inspiration
We were inspired by the many platformers we have all played and wanted to try our hand at game design.
What it does
It is a 2D platforming game.
How we built it
We built the game using Unity
Challenges we ran into
It was our first time using Unity, so we had to learn absolutely everything from scratch. In particular, getting GitHub to work with our Unity project took a bit of tinkering, but we got it to work. Additionally, none of us had much experience designing sprites for the game, so there was a certain learning curve to that as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that we were able to just get it to run. Learning a game engine in a weekend is no small task, so the fact that we got two decent looking levels, and an animated main character makes us very proud.
What we learned
We learned the fundamentals of Unity and sprite designing, and hope to apply it to future games we may make in the future.
