KLROY

KLROY is a simple location based iOS app that enhances the Summer Stage experience by letting attendees participate in a real-time geo-located co-created scrapbook of the event itself. The Summer Stage KLROY builds on to the existing SummerStage UPlanMe API to provide both an access point for the Summer Stage event calendar and a real-time mobile forum that lets every attendee capture the event as it unfolds. A forum to share their appreciation, observations and excitement with everyone else at the event. Imagine having a living breathing Playbill that is co-created in real-time by the Summer Stage participants and audience alike. A Playbill that turns every participant into a documentarian and allows their words and pictures to capture and share the true essence and feeling of every Summer Stage event. KLROY is simple to use. Sign up, log in and find the Summer Stage KLROY on the map. The KLROY icon represents the location you are in, click it and all the posts created in that location will come up. To add to the Summer Stage conversation, click the plus button in the top right hand corner. Then take a picture add a comment and then click post. The Summer Stage KLROY not only allows the hosts, artists and partners to interact and message all attendees directly, but also allows any attendee with a mobile device to add to the collective archive of the Summer Stage experience. Summer Stage KLROY is infinitely scalable. KLROY content can be projected on stage in between events to create the ultimate crowd sourced "Fan Cam" experience. Each park in each Borough can have it’s own unique KLROY And each of these, will not only become an "open-source" record of the amazing performances as they happen, but something more. Something that has never been created before. Each Summer Stage KLROY will become a virtual time capsule of Summer Stage itself. A time capsule that will exist indefinitely, tied to the actual physical location of the event. The actual place "where it all happened." With KLROY, this year's SummerStage 2013 will be a Summer Stage like no other. Summer Stage as described, shared and documented by the people who were there. Created together on a summer's day for everyone to enjoy and revisit anytime, any day.
