Inspiration The inspiration behind Klinva came from witnessing firsthand how commercial cleaning companies struggle with scattered tools, outdated CRMs, and inefficient workflows. Despite being a multi-billion-dollar industry, no software truly caters to their specific needs. I wanted to create a solution that empowers these businesses to manage everything from staff and clients to leads and finances all in one place.
What it does Klinva is a role-based SaaS CRM built exclusively for commercial cleaning companies. It features dashboards for Owners, Staff, Clients, and Telemarketing Teams. The platform offers smart job scheduling, GPS team tracking, client communication tools, automated invoicing, telemarketing lead management, and a built-in marketplace for bidding on new jobs all in a sleek, modern UI designed for efficiency and ease of use.
How we built it I built Klinva’s prototype using Bolt, with a React 18 + Tailwind CSS frontend, Supabase as the backend, and Clerk for authentication. I used modern design patterns to ensure the app is responsive, dark-themed, and intuitive. Features like the telemarketing portal, real-time job tracking, and marketplace bidding were implemented based on real-world workflow needs of cleaning businesses.
Challenges we ran into The biggest challenge was scope narrowing down which features to prioritize while keeping the UX clean. Designing for four different user roles in one app required careful thought about navigation, permissions, and workflow logic. Working alone on both design and development within the hackathon timeframe was intense but rewarding.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We’re proud to have built a highly functional, beautiful prototype that addresses real-world problems in an overlooked industry. The multi-role architecture, live job and location tracking, and lead-to-pipeline automation all work cohesively even in this early stage. It’s a true MVP with vision and scalability.
What we learned I learned how powerful a focused, niche-specific solution can be. Building with real user pain points in mind, and integrating features they actually use daily, made all the difference. I also gained deeper understanding of UI design systems, dark theme architecture, and rapid prototyping using Bolt’s tools.
What's next for Klinva – Ultimate CRM SaaS for Commercial Cleaning Companies This is just the beginning. The next step is completing the backend workflows, launching a beta with early adopters, and expanding features like payroll automation, QuickBooks integration, and AI-powered performance analytics. With over 150,000 commercial cleaning companies across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia even capturing 10% market share could make Klinva a multi-million dollar business. This is more than a CRM it's the future OS for the commercial cleaning industry.
