KLD Walks

Inspiration

This project was inspire by a conversation with my son. He has an AI Driven digital marketing company that wanted to build a dashboard. They are a small company of 3 and this is their first business. They had built a very good scraping and outreach system with many elements. It works great. They needed a dashboard to move their customer success processes closer to the customers. They chose to outsource the building of the dashboard to a traditional coding company. The company came highly recommended and gave them a 6 month target completion date and an upfront bill of $20,000!

I decided that this was a mistake. Now I am not a coder, I do not have any experience in app dev or digital marketing. However I have embraced AI for the past 2 years and I am reasonably comfortable in prompting and deducing ways to chat with llm's. I spent a lot of time trying to convince my son that there might be a better way. He was unfortunately committed to the trad route due to a consensus agreement with his partners. I explained the loss of opportunity paradigm to them but this didn't swy them so I decided to take a crack at Vibe Coding an example project that included many elelements and a few dashboards. At the same time my girlfriend was trying to organize her Dog walking business so I thought I would use that opportunity to learn about Vibe Coding and show my son the potential.

A little about myself. I am 62years old and I am building this project on the free to use public computers at the Vancouver BC public library. My financial situation does not allow ,me the luxury of my own PC. I have business experience from operational and sales and marketing. I am a value thinker and a big picture project thinker. My project is called KLD Walks after my gf. Her Dog walking business is called KLD Kat Loves Dogs/

What it does

The app has 3 modules. Dog Owner, Bog Walker and Pet Care Buisness. The app is very robust with live map tracking, walk history, booking, calendars, invoicing, historical tracking, gps tagged photos, reviews and comments.

I built it solely vibe coding using Bolt.new

Not enough tokens to fix formatting and coding misunderstandings from myself and Bolt.
