Inspiration
Tropical vibes, Tropico, SimCity, Auburn
What it does
It is a city builder simulator game with a tropical theme as its inspiration.
How we built it
Our IDE of choice for our game was Processing form processing.org, our code for our game uses the java programing language. We used VS Code as our IDE for our Website for our game and we utilized html and CSS. We also utilized git and github to collaborate with one another. We made our own custom sprites on pixilart.com.
Challenges we ran into
We had some issues with merging our projects using Processing. A majority of our members were using Processing for the first time. Many of our members had to familiarize themselves with new IDE's, languages and software.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made the game and its something we can be proud of. All of our sprites were personally handmade. The members incharge of the webpage were new to web development and made their first webpage ever! All Custom code.
What we learned
We gained knowledge and experience with web development. We learned Processing. Gained proficiency with get. Taught ourselves a good bit about gamedeveloment.
What's next for Kiwico
We either as a group or individuals plan to attend the next hackathon.
