Kiva Labs Hackathon

Inspiration

• I am a resident of Kenya. It is one of the countries that Kiva has built a foundation in I'd like to help many other people grow more from the loans they are able to access through Kiva.

What it does

• It is a block chain based solution that aims to provide a secure platform for information sharing and storage. This information will be used to a better functioning and more convenient credit system for both demographics(Lender and Borrower)

How we built it

• We used Figma to make a prototype that displays some of the basic features and UI of the system.

Challenges we ran into

• Choosing block chain technology that it will be built on
• How to design the user interface.
• The method of information collection to be used for the borrower demographic

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Brainstorming a creative and constructive solution
• Researching and learning more about kiva and the credit industry
• Learning about block chain technologies and their many use cases

What we learned

• How credit works
• How to build a credit score
• Integration between finance and the blockchain

What's next for Kiva Labs Hackathon

• More creative solutions and better ways of researching the problems that face Kiva.
