Inspiration

The inspiration was to design a project that uses Kiva Protocol technologies with existing Kiva infrastructure. Please see links below for details on Kiva Protocol.

What it does

Defines a high level design allowing Kiva Protocol, Kiva Investment and Kiva Marketplace technologies to work together to enhance borrower loan experience by creating opportunity for loan funding at point of sale and giving the borrower added benefit of having a documented credit history upon paying off loans.

How we built it

No code at this time. It would require Kiva Protocol and Kiva Marketplace teams to work together to integrate solution.

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenge was understanding the relationship between Kiva Investment and Kiva Marketplace. Since the goal of this project is to integrate Kiva Protocol so that SSI credentials can be used positively to enhance the borrower experience, it was important to get the correct understanding how borrowers currently work within the system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This project is a solution that could be easily integrated into the existing Kiva infrastructure. Everything described in this project exists today. The missing piece is the integration of the technologies, which this project demonstrates.
