While productivity tools exist, most lack personal connection and emotional support—leaving users feeling alone in their journey. We wanted to create something different. Kitten AI isn’t just another productivity app—it’s a companion that grows with you, encourages you, and makes your personal goals feel more fun and achievable. Inspired by the need for emotional connection and personalized growth, Kitten AI blends motivation, gamification, and a touch of anime charm to make everyday tasks feel less lonely and more rewarding.
What it does
Kitten AI is an AI companion that helps users stay motivated, track progress, and build better habits—all while keeping things fun and engaging. Goal Tracking & Progress: Set custom goals, track them with a visual progress bar, and log milestones. Gamification: Earn points, unlock new levels (from Iron to Radiant), and climb the anime-themed leaderboard to compete with fun fictional characters. Emotional Support: When you’re feeling down, Kitten AI offers uplifting messages, guided reflections, and practical mental health strategies. Interactive Journal: Write and save reflections with a multi-entry journal, making it easy to track thoughts over time.

How we built it
We built Kitten AI using a combination of cutting-edge AI and a user-friendly interface:
AI Model: Powered by Gemini 1.5 Flash, providing fast and adaptive conversational abilities. Frontend: A custom-built website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for smooth user interactions. Backend: Designed to handle user progress, goal tracking, and leaderboards with an integrated memory system. Gamification Layer: Custom logic tracks user points and levels, adjusting as users complete tasks and maintain streaks.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing Personality & Function: Crafting responses that are both playful and supportive while maintaining goal tracking was a challenge. Seamless Goal Integration: Creating a flexible goal-tracking system with a drag-and-drop calendar while keeping the workflow smooth. Leaderboard Logic: Implementing a dynamic leaderboard with fictional anime rivals while ensuring the user’s progression feels rewarding.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Interactive Features: Successfully integrated a journal, goal tracker, and gamification system into one seamless platform. Engagement Design: Built a playful yet functional environment where users can earn rewards and compete against anime characters like Sasuke and Itachi.
