Inspiration
Combining the Japanese game of watermelon splitting with piñata smashing, we thought it would be a fun way to celebrate with loved ones from afar.
What it does
It allows you to enjoy online piñata smashing with multiplayer voice chat. After breaking the piñata, you can edit the text to send a heartfelt message to the recipient.
How we built it
We built it using Unity, and for the networking part, we used Photon.
Challenges we ran into
We attempted to integrate with mobile devices, but we couldn't complete it in time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Synchronizing positions and voice during multiplayer sessions.
What we learned
Developing under time constraints, we often had to return to the project's core principles when making decisions. We learned the importance of revisiting the project's core, even in regular projects.
What's next for KITERETSU
We aim to enhance the game by adding obstacles to make piñata smashing more enjoyable.
