Inspiration

For our hackathon project, "Pet Me," our inspiration stemmed from a desire to innovate within the pet industry. We recognized the increasing demand for flexible pet solutions, whether for pet owners who occasionally need a helping hand or for individuals looking for furry companions. We aimed to create a platform that's more than just a pet marketplace; it's a community that brings pet lovers together and provides a safe haven for all pet enthusiasts.

What it does

Our hackathon project, "Pet Me," is an all-encompassing platform designed to disrupt the pet industry. It offers users the ability to rent and sell pets, fostering a sense of community among pet lovers. The platform goes beyond transactions; it's an engaging ecosystem. With a built-in chatbot, users can instantly resolve their pet-related queries, learn about pet care, and discover a wealth of information to ensure the well-being of their furry friends. "Pet Me" combines cutting-edge technology and a passion for pets to offer a novel experience.

How we built it

In the heat of the hackathon, we harnessed the latest web and mobile technologies to craft "Pet Me." Our tech stack included everything from secure authentication systems to sophisticated chatbot interfaces. We laid the foundation for secure transactions, optimized the platform for smooth pet listings, and made it our mission to create a user-friendly interface that enhances the pet lover's journey.We Dockerized our chatbot for "Pet Me," creating a self-contained environment for seamless deployment. We then shared our innovation by pushing the chatbot image to Docker Hub, making it accessible to developers worldwide, fostering collaboration and innovation. The journey for "Pet Me" is just beginning, and we look forward to contributing to the tech community.

Challenges we ran into

As we embarked on our hackathon adventure with "Pet Me," we encountered several intriguing challenges. The journey involved ensuring secure payments for pet transactions, optimizing search functionalities for pet listings, and fine-tuning our chatbot's responses. Additionally, we placed a significant emphasis on ensuring the safety, care, and well-being of pets within our ecosystem.
