Inspiration
Farmers are the backbone of our nation, yet they often lack access to timely, understandable, and localized agricultural intelligence. We were inspired by the everyday struggles farmers face—language barriers, lack of real-time data, and limited access to expert guidance.
We wanted to build something that feels like a trusted companion, not just an app—an AI that farmers can talk to, show their problems to, and get instant help in their own language.
🚀 What it does
Kisan Mitra AI is an AI-powered agricultural assistant that supports farmers across the entire farming lifecycle.
🎤 Voice Assistant (Krishi-Vani): Farmers can ask questions in their local language and get instant answers. 📸 Quality Grader: Upload crop images to get quality grading and price estimation. 🌱 Soil Analyzer (Dhara): Scan soil health cards and receive fertilizer recommendations. 🌾 Sowing Advisor: Get crop suggestions, planting time, and yield predictions. 📊 Real-time Insights: Access mandi prices, weather forecasts, and market trends. 🛠️ How we built it
We built Kisan Mitra AI using a scalable, cloud-native architecture:
Frontend: React + TypeScript for an intuitive UI Backend: .NET 8 Web API with clean architecture AI & Cloud: AWS Bedrock (Claude) for intelligent responses AWS Transcribe & Polly for voice interaction AWS Rekognition & Textract for image and OCR processing Database: DynamoDB & Timestream for real-time data Storage: Amazon S3 for media handling
The system integrates voice, vision, and data pipelines to deliver a seamless AI-driven farming experience.
