Inspiration

As a student myself, I always wanted an ideal place which could give me the opportunities we have across but we don't know about it. A place where we get to know about what is happening around us or what other things we can do along with our studies for practical experiences or where we can find amazing bunch of folks to hang out or grow our network, is something we all want to know so eagerly. So with this thought I tried something and created KIRO platform to give students a fresh start of 2023 with exploring new things.

What it does

It is a platform totally based on the new year where it tends to provide the geeks with latest news about business or entrepreneurship. As per the new year, it also has a bot which aims to provide a beautiful message ideas for 2023 we want to give to our loved ones. It also aims to provide people with networking opportunity with other fellows on the platform and a details of things to explore and communities out there to join to get updates of new hackathons or any relevant event happening around the world.

How we built it

Firstly I tried to explore what other things I can do for it's implementation! though its a static website which I solely created using frontend development

Challenges we ran into

The major challenges faced were during the implementation of bot which was quite difficult earlier. Initially, I was creating it using python but it became difficult to integrate it into my site I had to re create it many times by trying other options that could be integrated within my site. Next was the database creation! I was completely new to appwrite but I was so determined to use it in my project. So major problem I faced was here as most of the time I was just trying some tutorials to use appwrite and implement with my site! but due to the lack of time, I couldn't complete this task so I had to keep this a static site

Accomplishments that we're proud of

My Major accomplishment in this hackathon was that It was the first time I'm participating as solo and though I'm a beginner to hackathons. It was all felt very challenging to built project through this hackathon like I got the chance to finally know more about appwrite and auth0! and I feel I'm surely going to use it for the next projects finally.

What we learned

Management to handle everything on your own and without any help and ofcourses learned about APIs

What's next for KIRO

For KIRO, I wish to get some insights from the esteemed jury about how I get improve it more and next thing I want to do with this is work on it's backend and deploy after full implementation!
