Inspiration
We were inspired by the multiplayer game Overcooked and its kitchen based gameplay.
What it does
It let's you walk around, see an NPC move to a kiosk, and open the kiosk menu.
How we built it
We built the game withing the opensource Godot Game Engine using GDScript.
Challenges we ran into
We all especially found the Godot Engine's UI system to be especially difficult to learn and adapt to.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the ability to learn scraps of game engine mechanics, physics, and concepts.
What we learned
We don't like the UI system of Godot. Making level's with the built in tile map editor requires some knowledge beforehand, but is fun to build levels with otherwise.
What's next for Kiosk Dash
Implement the rest of the missing UI components, and implement the core game play systems we were hoping to do.
challenges
This was an attempt at the Blue Spark challenge to build a responsive UI design for kiosks, and thermomix. First Time Hacker
