Inspiration
Kintsugi Union is based mainly on two things, on the Japanese art of uniting with gold and on how the indigenous communities of Mexico work where as a community they gather their crafts and products and send a representative to the cities who is the one who carries and sells these, due to high transportation costs.
What it does
Thinking about that, we have decided to create a platform that allows communities to buy and sell as a community, making imports and exports more accessible for artisans, MSMEs and indigenous communities.
How we built it
Through web programming tools, such as html, css, js and php, we are developing this platform, our objective is to implement Apis for price comparison and article search, since at the moment we are not a platform that brings together wholesalers and it will take time
What we learned
We learned about the difficulties of small entrepreneurs and those who are starting out, as well as that we need the platform to be as easy to understand and accessible in indigenous languages so that they can integrate with these populations.
What's next for Kintsugi Union
We want to continue developing our platform, we know that we may change the design and functionalities as we learn more about the needs of our users, but one thing that we are clear about is that we do not want to lose the goal of uniting communities digitally and giving them a tool that facilitate this
