Inspiration
Our project was initially inspired by "Freedom & Fashion," which is a non-profit organization that uses fashion and art to empower women coming out of difficult situations.
What it does
We wanted to create a web application for survivors to share their passion, connect with other sellers with similar backgrounds, and find financial stability on their own.
How we built it
We used the language React and coded on VScode.
Challenges we ran into
Where to begin with our project, how to use React, to set up tools, and the format of the code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned how to use a new coding platform. We used React, something we have no experience or knowledge in. We learned more about design. This was our first hackathon, the time pressure was new to us.
What we learned
How to work with VScode, GitHub, and devpost. The basics of React.
What's next for Kintsugi
Improving the responsivity of the website. Provide pages for sellers to display their products and buyers to actually be able to make payments. Incorporate shipping details. Connect with organizations to reach out to our target demographic.
Log in or sign up for Devpost to join the conversation.
