Inspiration

We wanted to help the community. We made it easy to use and implement, so it could be used in other municipalities as well.

What it does

Kingston Archives has many features, including but not limited to;

  • Home - Search engine powered only by information found in the Kingston Archives
  • Timeline - Browse past documents in the order of establishment/occurrence
  • AI Assistant - A way to "ask the past" for advice, knowledge, and guidance. Great for new hires / transitional workers
  • Meeting Minutes - using STT, it transcribes and records meetings and provides a summary, ensuring nothing is missed and no time is wasted

How we built it

Flask, React, BeauifulSoup4, and many other libraries

TTS was uncooperative at best
