Inspiration
Being a kid born in India in a middle class family as a 16 year old, naturally my next step to pack my bag for a new city. Moving to a new city it proves to be a bit difficult to find a Good hostel and PG with a good roommate will embrace my faults. This setback prove to be a big inspiration for me to start Kings Landing with my fellow mates.
What it does
Kings Landing is an online aggregator which provides Hostel and PG. It is a technological driven application which provides various amenities like meal, easy partner choice. It empowers small hostel and PG owners by providing sustainable technological solutions that increases their earnings.
How we built it
At starting we decided to go with a minimal landing page using HTML, CSS, JavaScript but later on , correctly figured out , we will be delivering our product to customers so they can easily book. Then React came as a better option , it took little bit time to learn React and then to convert into a production ready app.
Challenges we ran into
The most challenging part was to integrate ** OTP based Login system** because when a user pushes a invalid input as phone number then it often crashes our app, one more problem where user was able to click on send OTP without captcha filling every time. We done a lot of internet research about our problem, find some good and bad solutions but finally we were able to create it with a nice user experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We tried to build at least a good level application without so much experience and gained practical knowledge. We are proud of for our supportive team.
What we learned
There was not only technical learning among us but also worked on team collaboration to make things easy. Lot of knowledge sharing everyday about finances, daily fun activities boosted our productivity which will be helping us into future to take it to the top.
What's next for Kings Landing
Kings Landing is planning to integrate AI , ML into their application, so students can find a partner of desired choice very easily.
