Inspiration

Inspired by NYT and LinkedIn Games, we built King Puzzles as a calm, distraction-free space for busy people to unwind and de-stress through simple logic games.

What it does

It’s a minimalist game hub offering bite-sized logic puzzles like Queens and Sudoku with no timer pressure, helping users get a quick 5-minute daily mental reset.

How we built it

Built using a cross-platform mobile framework with lightweight, custom algorithms to generate balanced puzzle boards on the fly, backed by cloud sync for streaks.

Challenges we ran into

Algorithmic board generation was tough, ensuring every puzzle is guaranteed solvable without lag, while balancing zero-stress gameplay with long-term retention.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Delivered a slick, ultra-clean UI that gives instant micro-satisfaction, alongside a modular architecture that easily accepts new mini-games without bloating app size.

What we learned

Simplicity wins; removing visual clutter and complex rules creates higher daily engagement than traditional high-pressure mobile games.

Adding new puzzle types, low-pressure social streak sharing, and an ad-free premium tier.
