Inspiration

We were inspired by how hard it is for people to understand and improve their movement in sports and fitness. Most apps only track steps or workouts but don’t actually help users move better. We wanted to build something that acts like a smart coach using AI to analyze motion and give real feedback. In-person training might be a little "out of the budget" for some people, that's why KineticMotionAI saves money and is on point with your movements and feedback.

What it does

KineticMotionAI is an AI-powered app that tracks and analyzes body movement in real time. It uses a camera or sensor data to detect motion and gives feedback to improve performance, posture, and technique. It can also track progress over time and help users avoid injuries.

How we built it

We built KineticMotionAI using Python and JavaScript along with Google AI Studio. We used computer vision models to detect and track body movement. The frontend handles user interaction, while the backend processes motion data and generates AI feedback.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was making the motion tracking accurate in real time, especially with different lighting and camera angles. Another issue was making the AI feedback useful instead of too general. We also had to make sure everything worked smoothly without lag.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we created a working system that can track motion and give feedback in real time. It was exciting to see the AI recognize movements correctly. We also made the app simple and easy to use.

What we learned

We learned how computer vision works and the limits of AI models. We also learned how important it is to make apps user-friendly. Debugging and testing helped us understand how small issues can affect the whole system.

What's next for KineticMotionAI

We plan to improve accuracy and add features like sport-specific coaching and personalized plans. We also want to add gamification like levels and challenges and make it available on mobile devices in the future.
