Inspiration
This project was inspired by our physics course, which my teammate and I both took last semester. The average for the exam on kinematics was in the forties, so clearly it is something that the average physics student needs some help with.
What it does
This project will take inputs from the user for kinematic equations and will calculate all the missing variables, if possible
How we built it
We solved all the versions of the kinematic equations for every variable so that no matter what the input is, if its possible to get an answer it will get it.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to be able to get the math and checks to work together so that each equation could not only be used, but be used correctly
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning how to navigate github and making a project of this scale in only 24 hours
What we learned
We learned a lot about github and we also solidified our understanding of the kinematic equations
What's next for Kinematics Hijinks and Antics
Theoretically, projectile motion is all based in 1d kinematics so it wouldn't be too far a reach to add projectile motion. Similarly particle and some electric field calculations depend on kinematics. Kinematic Hijinks and Antics is more of a beginning building block to further physics calculations than the finished project.
