Two 15-year-old app developers, one vision.

We are Benito and Santiago, two 15-year-old app developers with a vision: a happier world. But how can happiness be achieved? We believe that by helping others and making them happy. Imagine a world were everybody stopped and took some time to help other people. Wouldn’t such a society be amazing? We think so too.
We created Kind because of our vision. Kind is a game-like mobile app that encourages you to make other people’s day better in engaging and fun ways.
A game?
Kind uses game dynamics to motivate you to be kinder every day. It is just like a video game: you can earn points, advance in level, etc. Except: kind is an app with the focus of making your life better by being kinder to the people around you.
Throughout the day you are reminded to do random acts of kindness (like smiling, appreciating someone or giving them a compliment) for which you earn Smiles (points) that you use to advance in level and unlock new themes.
Every level, you can see a message like “Be kind for an amazing John” or “for a positivity radiating Sarah” (if either John or Sarah happens to be your name) which helps to inspire and motivate you. You are also going to be able to see a different quote about kindness for every level you conquer.
This app is unlike others, because it motivates you to take real-world action and go out there to help people. It doesn’t just keep it virtual. For example, on one activity like “Compliment another person”, once you have complimented, click on “Yes!” and earn 45 Smiles. This way, you can improve yourself constantly and do something to help others next time you’re bored.
