Inspiration
The federation used pdf files to be able to show the resulsts and the schedule. I as a player and a coach thought it was not modern nor intuitive enough for users. So I approached them with the project.
How it works
The site was built with python and the framework django. It is built with a theme bought on ThemeForest called Nevia. The website has 2 parts, an admin panel and a public site. The website is built with the user in mind, so it's intuitive and easy to use.
Challenges I ran into
I never used Python before this project. So I had to learn a new language and a new framework in django in order to complete this project.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The new site received amazing reviews among the users. Everybody loved the new look but most of all, the information that was available. Another big addition is how intuitive the site was to use. Everything that a user wanted to know was there and it was easily accessible. The federation loved the new site as it saved them a lot of time managing the circuit. The director of the circuit said that it saved him easily around 5-7 hours of work per tournament. As there is more than 25 tournaments in a year, the site saved him a lot of time.
