Inspiration

As a father of two kids the inspiration for AfterSchool AI Systems stems from the need to transform after-school homework time into an engaging, structured experience for kids, while simultaneously providing parents with comprehensive oversight and insights. The concept draws parallels to a "Notion task app for kids," aiming to empower users with tools to set study focus time and achieve life goals (short, medium, and long term). The design philosophy is inspired by a blend of bold simplicity and playful intelligence, creating a platform that feels professional for parents and magical for children. Visually, it takes cues from modern video games, young programmer interfaces, pixel-style icons (like Minecraft), and the clean, organized look of a Supabase, with typography resembling plain text fonts and n8n sticky notes.

What it does

AfterSchool AI Systems is an AI-powered educational companion app that transforms after-school homework time into an engaging, structured experience. It features a dual account system for kids and parents, an AI Personality Engine to personalize learning, a main dashboard with an AI chatbot for task management, a Smart Calendar that organizes activities into manageable chunks, a reward system for task completion, and comprehensive reports for parents. It also includes a Communication Hub for interaction with the AI coach and alerts.

How we built it

The application is designed 100% in Bolt. It connects to an AI model via API and, utilizes as a second AI engine an n8n backend workflow for automation of the calendar. The design incorporates smooth slide transitions for a seamless user experience. The visual elements are built to emulate programmer design UI aesthetic for young a programmer. The color palette consists of dark and light gray tones, with customization options for color accents and dark/bright modes.

I'm proud to developed an app in 36 hours from cero knowledge in programing and code just vibe code with AI assist.

What we learned

we learn best practices of prompting, database from zero and use rationally the tokens.

What's next for Kids Time Structure with AI Systems

the concept is almost done , just need some fine tuning an a fun rewards system batches for motivation, technical details like capable system with QR and code method to link accounts an and implement voice integration for a more interactive experience.
