Inspiration

Modern development teams rely on dozens of APIs, repositories, integrations, and alerting systems. Important events often get buried in noisy notifications, missed webhook alerts, or forgotten API expirations.

I wanted to build a system that acts like an intelligent operations guardian — something that not only monitors events in real time, but also understands which events deserve attention and proactively alerts teams before issues become production problems.

That idea became Keyra.

What it does

Keyra is an AI-powered Ops Copilot and API Vault platform.

It monitors GitHub repositories in real time using webhooks and automatically analyzes issues, pull requests, and repository activity using AI-powered workflows.

Keyra can:

  • Send intelligent notifications to Slack and Discord
  • Track API expiration dates and alert teams proactively
  • Create customizable notification rules based on labels and priorities
  • Detect schema health issues and schema drift
  • Generate AI-powered operational insights
  • Simulate real-world scenarios using Demo Mode
  • Provide an AI chatbot assistant for system monitoring and queries

The platform is designed to reduce operational noise while improving visibility and response time for engineering teams.

How we built it

I built Keyra using MeDo’s AI-powered application builder along with GitHub webhook integrations, Slack and Discord notifications, AI agents, and real-time monitoring workflows.

The application combines:

  • GitHub webhook event processing
  • AI-based issue and PR analysis
  • Real-time alert pipelines
  • API lifecycle tracking
  • Rule-based notification systems
  • Interactive dashboard UI
  • AI chatbot assistance

I also designed a futuristic SaaS-style interface with real-time activity feeds, alert dashboards, and automated demo simulation workflows.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was debugging the real-time notification pipeline.

Although GitHub webhook events were being received correctly, notifications were initially blocked due to backend filtering logic and repository-level notification configuration issues.

I also had to solve:

  • Webhook debugging and event tracing
  • Dynamic notification rule handling
  • Synchronization between GitHub events and Slack/Discord alerts
  • Building a reliable Demo Mode independent of live integrations
  • Preventing notification filtering conflicts caused by hardcoded logic

Ensuring the system behaved reliably in both live and simulated environments required multiple iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm especially proud of:

  • Successfully building a fully working real-time GitHub monitoring system
  • Implementing live Slack and Discord alert integrations
  • Creating customizable AI-driven notification rules
  • Designing a polished futuristic dashboard experience
  • Building a functional Demo Mode for instant product showcasing
  • Combining API lifecycle management with AI-powered DevOps workflows into one unified platform

Most importantly, i transformed a complex operational workflow into something visually intuitive and accessible.

What we learned

This project taught us a lot about:

  • Real-time event-driven architecture
  • GitHub webhook systems
  • AI-assisted workflow automation
  • Notification orchestration
  • UX design for operational dashboards
  • The importance of balancing intelligent filtering with reliable alert delivery

I also learned how critical observability and debugging tools are when building systems that depend on multiple integrations and asynchronous workflows.

What's next for Keyra

I plan to expand Keyra into a more advanced AI operations platform with features such as:

  • AI-generated incident postmortems
  • Predictive risk analysis
  • Auto-remediation workflows
  • Multi-platform integrations
  • Team collaboration features
  • Voice-based operational assistant
  • Advanced analytics and reporting

I also want to improve accessibility, scalability, and production readiness so Keyra can evolve beyond a hackathon project into a real-world developer operations platform. And also implement database maintenance and alert system combined with Keyra
