Keyboard Cat - Keyboard Cat

Inspiration

My cat, Umbra, likes to watch me type and I think she would be criticizing me the whole time.

What it does

Uses a webcam to track hand position while typing a given script and recognizes if you are using the right finger to hit the key.

How we built it

Google media pipes combined with a variety of custom-built react components. We used node.js for our backend.

Challenges we ran into

Getting coordinates, managing complex states, and manipulating existing libraries to fit it in our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how hard we worked. We didn't give up despite problem after problem.

What we learned

We learned a lot about using git and working on a team.

What's next for Keyboard Cat

Bug fixes and ensuring the coordinates and key reading works.
