About the Project: Kevara Media

Kevara Media was born out of a simple but powerful realization: most small businesses, from barbershops to martial arts studios, struggle to get a high-end website without paying thousands up front or waiting months for freelancers. We set out to fix that. We were initially building custom software for pickleball clubs and it grew into this idea.

🚀 What Inspired Us

After working with dozens of local businesses, we saw the same problem over and over again: overpriced developers, clunky DIY platforms, and no clear system for getting a website that actually works. We knew there had to be a better way, so we built one. This business model was not possible even just a few years ago, but it is now due to the low cost, speed, and quality that building with AI gives us.

We created Kevara to offer high-end, fully custom websites for $0 upfront, powered by a scalable monthly plan. It’s simple, fast, and designed specifically for niche industries. The response has been incredible.

🧠 What We Learned

  • Small businesses want a high-end website and know it matters, but don't have the tools or funding to create something that stands out
  • Automating onboarding (without losing personalization) is the key to scaling.
  • Tools like Supabase, Stripe, and Resend are incredibly powerful when stitched together intentionally.

🛠 How We Built It

Kevara is built on a modern stack designed for speed and flexibility:

  • Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS (hosted on Netlify via Bolt.new)
  • Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, and Edge Functions using Deno)
  • Email: Resend for transactional messaging
  • Payments: Stripe Checkout with a 10-day trial + webhook-based automation
  • Forms & Intake: Tally.so for client onboarding
  • Automation: Custom edge functions

We built a seamless signup flow: ad click → intake form → Stripe checkout → welcome email → password setup → dashboard onboarding — all within minutes.

🧩 Challenges We Faced

  • Designing a secure but frictionless onboarding flow (solved with a custom password token system)
  • Handling Stripe trials and post-checkout account creation with real-time edge functions
  • Making everything feel “done-for-you” while still giving clients access to a powerful dashboard
  • Balancing automation with personalized service

Kevara is more than just a website builder - it’s a launchpad for local businesses to level up everything they do online. And we’re just getting started.
