Inspiration
We wanted to create something that helps people deal with everyday stress. Inspired by the theme MEND, we came up with KEPT, an app about keeping happy memories and letting go of worries.
What it does
KEPT lets users record happy moments, collect music rewards, and release negative thoughts through a virtual paper shredder. Users can also save comforting quotes and share positive moments with others.
How we built it
We started with hand-drawn sketches and then used Figma to design the app's interface and interactive prototype. We also created custom visuals to make the app feel warm and welcoming.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was making the app fun without making it too complicated. We had to simplify some features and figure out how to connect everything smoothly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the music collection system and the interactive paper shredder. We also like how the final design brings all the features together.
What we learned
We learned how to turn an idea into an interactive prototype and how small design decisions can improve the user experience.
What's next for KEPT
We hope to turn KEPT into a working app in the future, add more music collections, and improve the experience based on user feedback.
