Inspiration
We both care deeply about animals, and hate how breeders treat them. This lead us to want to create something combatting this.
What it does
This is a website that informs the user about why breeders are bad, and provides alternatives to them while giving more information about different dog breeds to make sure they are taken proper care of.
How we built it
We built it using a lot of style sheets and html files, while using external tools to help design graphics and refine the website
Challenges we ran into
We are both beginners and only knew the most basic parts of HTML and CSS at the start, so a huge challenge we faced was simply a huge gap in knowledge. We had to learn how to structure and design a website on our own, even if it was very challenging at parts.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating something out of nothing without any direction. Any web programming we've done before we had instructions for, so it was a lot different without specific instructions. It had a lot of trial and error but we are proud that we created something that only belongs to us.
What we learned
We learned the process for web programming, from sketching out ideas to changing font size. It gave me a lot of experience in HTML and CSS, and I would feel confident saying I'm proficient in both of these languages. We learned how to structure websites and design them with a good UI, and were very proud of everything we learned.
What's next for Kent Breed
We will continue to refine the website and potentially get it a domain.
