Inspiration
- When I saw the hackathon topic centered around school, I immediately thought of creating a flashcard app. Flashcards are a classic study tool, but I wanted to modernize them with interactive features to make studying more engaging and effective.
What it does
- Kenjii's Flashcard App offers a dynamic and interactive study experience. Users can create, customize, and flip through digital flashcards with smooth 3D animations. The app also includes a dark/light mode for a personalized study environment and intuitive navigation options for easy card browsing.
How we built it
- This was a solo project developed using Visual Studio Code. I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the app's core functionalities. From designing the user interface to implementing the interactive features, I handled every aspect of the development process.
Challenges we ran into
- The main challenges included managing time effectively, debugging issues, and handling the project solo. I also faced a learning curve while exploring new functions and features that could enhance the app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I’m proud of completing the app on time and delivering a functional product with the features that I was able to implement. Although I didn’t get to include every feature I envisioned, such as PDF scanning, the project remains a significant achievement.
What we learned
- This project reinforced the value of perseverance and hard work. I learned a lot about managing a solo development project, overcoming technical challenges, and integrating various features to create a cohesive user experience.
What's next for Kenjii's Flashcard App!
- The next step is to integrate a PDF scanning feature. This will allow the app to automatically scan PDF documents and use AI to generate flashcards, further streamlining the study process and enhancing the app’s functionality.
