The anthesis to take-down requests, KeepUp tracks a list of YouTube videos removed from things like alleged copyright infringement, country-wide censorship, and deletion. When a video tracked on KeepUp is removed, the service automatically generates a torrent and seeds the file to users who need to see it. The distributed BitTorrent network utilized by KeepUp means no one person or country can keep people from their videos.
KeepUp utalizes: Node.js, Mongodb, HTML/CSS, Angular.js, BitTorrent, and the node packages create-torrent, ytdl-core, node-scheduler, and youtube-api-simple.
