Keep Your Distance

Inspiration

The recent crisis caused by COVID19 has placed the global communities in a locked down mode. In order to create a better means for reengaging human-to-human socialization, I thought of an App that will allow people to maintain a safe zone to prevent the transmission of infection while allowing social communities to emerge.

What it does

The App will create a 6 feet “geofence” around each individual that can be easily recognized

How we built it

Using the smart phone technologies (both for android, Google, and iPhone) we will utilize the god locator of Google to measure the distance of approaching human to human contacts

Challenges we ran into

We have to make sure that a the use of technology is clearly targeted to human and not any other objects

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The App will have many benefits. Obviously the major feature will be creating a 6-feet safe zone around each individual in the community or in conference rooms or exercise gyms, and other areas where humans are socializing.

What we learned

There is a strong belief amongst the scientific communities that COVID19 will be around for years to come. As a result we need to learn the new and innovative ways to promote human-to-human socialization while maintaining health and well beings of individuals without propagating viral transmission

Develop the framework of the features and enhancements of the App followed by design elements and finally API testing and validation
