Inspiration

I love sharing science information with kids.

What it does

The book explains COVID-19 to kids in a reassuring and slightly humorous way.

How I built it

I used Procreate, and it was my first time using the program, so the whole project was a learning experience!

Challenges I ran into

Technology is always a bugaboo, and though I am artistic, it was my first time illustrating one of my books. Lots of opportunities for growth with this project.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

All that drawing took a long time, especially as I was learning the Procreate program.

What I learned

I think I will be able to illustrate my own writing from now on.

What's next for KEEP COVID OUT!

I really hope kids can understand the science of the illness and glean a little bit about microbes and safety from pathogens. Knowledge is reassuring.
