Inspiration

All members of this team enjoy watching kdramas. Therefore, we want to create a platform where kdrama enthusiasts can talk about kdramas with one another and share their excitement.

What it does

User can enter their username and then enter their review on a kdrama by specifying its name, rating, and summary. Others who are interested in joining in the conversation or mention of this kdrama can reply in thread. This app also has the capability to censor specific bad words.

How we built it

We built this app using Swift.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into include learning Swift and implementing the bad word censoring feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we implemented the feature where we censor the bad words. That was a challenge for us because we did not know how to block messages from being posted when a bad word is mentioned.

What we learned

We learned that having fun along the way of learning something is the most important.

What's next for KdramaUniverse

We hope to implement a database (SQL, PostgreSQL) for KdramaUniverse where we can store more user information and kdrama reviews!
