Create something to protect against Hate Speech
What it does
Read through user's messages and gives a time out to the user who said a bad word.
How we built it
We built it on python and used replit to construct the bot
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges included how to timeout the individual who said the bad word.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud that we were able to give responses to the user whenever they said a bad word towards somebody
What we learned
We learned the different ways to incorporate Hate Speech protection in a bot
What's next for Kate: The Hate Speech Discord Bot
The next step in the near future would be to make Kate a full-fledged discord bot that is free and open source.
