Katalyst draws inspiration from platforms like Devpost, which empower users to host and manage events. Our goal is to create a similar environment tailored specifically for workshops, enhancing the user experience and fostering community engagement.

What It Does

Katalyst is an innovative platform designed to facilitate the hosting of workshops, providing users with a comprehensive suite of tools for event management. The platform enables users to seamlessly sign up for and organize their own workshops. Key features include the ability to create, modify, and cancel events as needed, along with options for participants to book their spots in various sessions. This user-friendly interface streamlines the entire process, empowering individuals and organizations to efficiently manage their workshop offerings and enhance participant engagement.

How We Built It

The Katalyst platform was developed using Flutter for a responsive and intuitive mobile experience, coupled with MongoDB for robust data management and storage solutions. This technology stack allows us to deliver a seamless experience across devices.

Challenges We Ran Into

One of the primary challenges encountered during development was ensuring reliable internet connectivity within the mobile application. We discovered a lack of useful plugins or functions to address this issue effectively, necessitating the development of custom solutions to ensure smooth operation for users, even in varying network conditions.
