Karma Clash (Post Showdown)
A daily prediction game where players guess which Reddit post will get more upvotes. Five matchups, 24 hours, one question: Do you really know Reddit?
What it does
Post Showdown turns Reddit's core mechanic - upvoting - into a competitive daily game. Players are presented with 5 head-to-head matchups featuring real posts from across Reddit. For each matchup, you predict which post will earn more upvotes by the end of the day. Come back tomorrow to see your results, build your streak, and prove you understand what makes content resonate on Reddit.
Why it's Reddit-y
This game couldn't exist anywhere else. It's built entirely around Reddit's unique culture of upvoting and the unpredictable nature of what goes viral. Players engage with real Reddit content, learn what different communities value, and develop an intuition for the platform. It celebrates the diversity of subreddits - from r/todayilearned to r/aww to r/unpopularopinion.
Why it's a great daily game
- Quick to play: 5 taps and you're done in under a minute
- Easy to understand: Everyone knows "more upvotes = better"
- Hard to master: Predicting virality is genuinely difficult
- Naturally recurring: New matchups every 24 hours with results reveal
- Streak-driven: Miss a day and lose your streak - keeps players coming back
- Shareable: Built-in sharing to spark competition with friends
