Inspiration

We created few platforms where different people can offer their goods or services and other people can find them on the platform (the lates one was for music teachers and potential students). In the world where all commercialized we think that there is a place to help people without commercial rewards. So the idea of Karma Baby was borned.

1. The problem your project solves.

Karma Baby is aimed to help people in this tough time to connect with each other by helping community all around the globe. We make the process of doing good feel joyful, simple and pleasant, thus, we are sure, that more and more people will join our doing-good movement.

2. The solution you bring to the table (including technical details, architecture, tools used)

We used Bubble.io to create the prototype of the solution. This service helps to create software application without actual coding. Maine pages were done: login and user details, creation of the task, assignment of the task to user and control of the task done. Only creator of the task can approve task was done. And creator of the task can't assign the task to himself.

3. What you have done during the weekend.

During the Hackathon we have developed the basic architecture of the platform, as well as created the animation video and make the plan for the further development of the solution. Prototype of the solution was done using Bubble.io service (it was our first time using this app).

4. The solution impact

During the COVID-19 crisis we have understood how important is to support those, who need our help. But sometimes we can’t find the ones who is in need right now or can’t find the place where we can ask someone for help. That’s why we decided to stat our social-oriented project. With Karma Baby platform we empower people by doing good for others and help them to overcome this difficult isolation time.

5. The necessities in order to continue the project

To finish the project we will need more time and involvement of real developers and designers. Solution need to have better user interface and more functionality (like live chat, emailing service, more security and some work to be done in Data Protection area and in GDPR compliance. Our estimation is 4-6 months of software development needed. Also we will need help in promoting the solution. The main competitor of our solution is social networks, but our solution will work better for this task because:

it's done specifically for sharing the tasks
it's not limited with your social network
it motivates people to do tasks because they can get Karma points and exchange it to real goods or Karma)

6. The value after crisis

We are sure that being helpful is important not only in the crisis time, but in a good times too. We are sure that continue our initiative after COVID-19 we will help millions of people find the help and help others.
