🚀 About the Project – ZARIYA

Inspiration

India is home to millions of skilled artisans whose crafts represent centuries of culture and tradition. However, many artisans struggle to sell their products online because creating digital listings requires technical knowledge they often don’t have.
ZARIYA was inspired by the idea of removing this digital barrier by allowing artisans to simply tell the story of their product using voice, while AI handles the technical work of creating online listings.

What ZARIYA Does

ZARIYA is an AI‑powered voice commerce platform that enables artisans to create marketplace listings effortlessly.
Instead of filling complex forms, artisans simply speak about their product, and the system automatically generates:

Product title
Description
Category
Price suggestions
Structured product listing

This makes digital commerce accessible, simple, and inclusive for artisans with limited technical skills.

How We Built It

ZARIYA combines modern web technologies with AI-powered services:

Next.js – Frontend and API routes
AWS Amplify – Hosting and deployment
Amazon DynamoDB – Storing product and artisan data
Amazon S3 – Secure storage for product images
Amazon Transcribe – Converting artisan voice into text
Amazon Nova AI – Generating intelligent product details and suggestions

The system processes the artisan’s voice input, extracts key product information, and automatically creates a structured listing ready for the marketplace.

Challenges We Faced

During development we encountered several challenges:

Designing a voice-first experience that feels natural for artisans
Handling AI-generated content formatting into structured product data
Ensuring scalable cloud architecture for real-time interactions
Debugging serverless deployment issues on AWS Amplify

Overcoming these challenges helped us build a more robust and scalable solution.
