Inspiration

This idea originally sparked from me not being able to find a free time blocking/calendar app I was satisfied with. So I wanted to make a streamlined productivity tool to manage your goals, habits, and tasks, all in one. But that idea eventually turned into this one that involves AI.

What it does

It's a productivity app where you can add and manage tasks. If you have a goal but don't know how to achieve it, then this app may help! AI will come up with ideas for steps towards that goal, and you can manage these steps easily in the app.

How we built it

I used Auth0, Vellum, Nextjs, Prisma for the database, Cursor for driving me insane, Tailwindcss for styling

Challenges we ran into

Learning Auth0 and Vellum was a challenge, and Cursor likes to give me extra errors to debug.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making something presentable is certainly not something I thought would happen about 12 hours ago when I was debugging.

What we learned

It's very, very difficult to learn off of scattered documentation. If you use AI, that'll get multiplied 5x.

What's next for Kari

I might turn it into something much bigger as a personal project. It probably won't have AI anymore. I listed some ideas I had on Kari itself.
