Inspiration

Job hunting today is exhausting: endless platforms, repetitive applications, unclear requirements, and very little feedback. As students and early-career candidates, we noticed how much time is wasted just organizing the process rather than improving skills or preparing for interviews. That frustration inspired kansoAI — an AI companion designed to make job hunting calmer, smarter, and more structured.

What it does

kansoAI helps users navigate the job search process by:

  • Analyzing job descriptions and extracting key requirements
  • Matching user profiles with relevant opportunities
  • Giving personalized suggestions to improve CVs and applications
  • Acting as a single AI companion throughout the job-hunting journey

The goal is simple: reduce noise, save time, and help users focus on what actually matters.

How we built it

We built kansoAI using:

  • An AI model to analyze job postings and user profiles
  • A backend that processes and structures job data
  • Prompt-engineering and rule-based logic to keep responses relevant and safe
  • A tinder like frontend to swipe for jobs to apply for

The system was designed to be modular, so features like recommendations, CV feedback, and tracking can evolve independently.

Challenges we ran into

  • Ensuring AI outputs stayed relevant and practical, not generic
