Inspiration

We were inspired by popular Discord game bots to create our own such as MEE6 and Pancake Bot.

What it does

Our submission is a Discord bot, KangBot, named after our computer programming teacher, Mr. Kang. In the allotted time, we were able to implement 6 unique commands. Our intended purpose for this bot is to provide a source of entertainment that would brighten up any server. It would also build social interaction among members.

How we built it

We used Python and the Discord API.

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to implement the Discord API onto Python. We had to go through a lot of troubleshooting and through this process, we gained new experiences and knowledge that would help us improve as we went along.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning how to implement and utilize the Discord API and developing a Discord bot. Seeing our games work properly was very satisfying and we intend to share our work with others on Discord.

What we learned

Learning how to program a Discord bot using Python. As beginners, we began by researching how to start programming a discord bot using Python. We decided to implement simple games such as rock paper scissors and a number guessing game. As time progressed, we decided to tackle more complex games such as Blackjack and Wordle.
