Hi everyone!

I built KangAI.fun specifically for the AI in the Outback Hackathon.

💡 What it does: KangAI is an AI-powered place finder for Australia. Just type in your mood + location, and Kang (the AI) will recommend the best spots nearby that match how you’re feeling.

For example: “I feel stressed today 😞 living in Melbourne” Kang will suggest relaxing places and give you direct Google Maps links so you can head there instantly.

Frontend: React + TailwindCSS

Backend: Node.js + Express

AI/ML: Google Gemini API for mood-based recommendations

Maps: Google Maps API for location & directions

Hosting: Vercel

This project was created exclusively for this hackathon. It was a lot of fun to build, and I hope it helps people discover new places in Australia in a more personal and mood-friendly way.
